ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Adult Bible study meets most Sunday mornings at 9:00am. All are invited and encouraged to attend! Special programs are planned during Lent and occasionally at other times of the year.
CHURCH SCHOOL

Provide the children of St. Alban’s a foundation in the Christian faith and the teaching of the church, in a warm and nurturing community. Teachers are always needed and welcome. Church School meets on Sunday mornings at 9:45 A.M..
OUTREACH
EPISCOPAL CHARITIES
This is an annual appeal to the parish of St. Alban’s to donate to Episcopal Charities, a Diocesan outreach program that provides nearly half a million dollars to the needy people of Rhode Island. Two co-chairpersons are needed each year.
FLOWER DELIVERY
Plants are delivered to those ill or shut-in at Christmas and Easter. Sign-up sheets are posted, and the plants are picked up from Church and delivered during the week following each holiday
OUTREACH COMMITTEE

Purpose of this committee: To help those in need both within St. Alban’s Parish and in the larger community. Administers monthly Food Pantry, Thanksgiving Basket outreach, Christmas “adopt-a family” program, Angel Food Program, and other projects throughout the year.
ANGEL FOOD PROGRAM
Purpose of this program: To provide meals for those in the parish who are ill, or otherwise in need of help in making meals. (Look in this booklet under Outreach Committee for contact people.)
FOOD PANTRY
Contact persons: Linda Strocky
Distributes food to those in need on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:00-11:30 AM, and other times in cases of emergency need. Volunteers are needed at times when the Food Pantry is open, and on mornings when there is a delivery of food from RI Food Bank.
SUNDAY LAY MINISTRIES
ALTAR GUILD
Directress: Marilyn Landolfi
Prepares for Sunday services and all services of worship, polish all brass and silver, helps to decorate for Christmas and Easter. Occasionally deliver flowers to the sick and shut-in. Members prepare the church for weddings, baptisms, confirmation, and funerals
COFFEE HOUR
Volunteers sign up to provide “goodies” and host the coffee hour after the 10:00 A.M. service on Sundays.
COUNTERS
Coordinator: Barbara Barber
To count, keep a record, and deposit monies collected on Sunday mornings and at other services of the Church at which collections are taken.
Nursery - Michelle Pinault
Volunteers are always welcome to help in the Nursery at the 10:00 A.M. service.
USHERS AND GREETERS
Schedule Coordinator: Janice Heywood
Greets and ushers the people attending Sunday services and special services, making a special effort to welcome newcomers. Ushers greet worshipers with a bulletin, ushers them to a pew, passes the plate for offerings and guides the flow of worshipers to receive communion.
ACOLYTES
Coordinator: The Rev. Becky Anderson
Boys & girls who, beginning at about 9 years old, assist in the worship at the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday mornings, and other special services. They wear vestments and receive training for the jobs they do.
CHALICE BEARERS
Coordinator: The Rev. Becky Anderson
Chalice bearers assist the clergy in the administration of the Holy Communion at the Sunday services, and are trained by the Rector. They usually wear church vestments and proceed into church with clergy and/or choir
LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Coordinator: The Rev. Becky Anderson
Purpose of this group: To assist the clergy in taking communion to those who are ill or shut-in and unable to attend Sunday services. (You must be trained and licensed by the Diocese of RI to do this.)
READERS OF LESSONS AND PRAYERS
Coordinator: The Rev. Becky Anderson
Men and women who read selections from Holy Scripture and prayers during services on Sunday mornings and at other special services. Readers are scheduled in advance by the Church office. (Training is provided).
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
PRAYER CIRCLE
Coordinator: Olive Sutcliffe
Pray daily for those who are ill, disabled, or in some other special need of prayer.
OTHER MINISTRIES
CHOIR
Director: Christine Kershaw
Sing at the 10:00 A.M. service most Sundays (except summer months) and at major Church festivals, in such a way as to inspire the Congregation in its worship. Commitment to weekly rehearsals on Monday evenings and Sunday mornings is required.

Does service projects, money-raising projects for the Church, and provides fellowship for the women of St. Alban’s. Usually meets on the second Thursday evening of the month. The ECW has run the Holiday Bazaar in recent years. All women of the parish are automatically members!
PARISH LIFE AND GROWTH COMMITTEE
Coordinators: Kate Schmitter, David Schmitter
Reaches out to those who have not yet come through our doors, welcomes those who do come through our doors, and help them become involved with the life of the parish. Tries to foster a connection between members of St. Alban’s community, old and new.

Governing body of St. Alban’s Church with oversight over Church finances and property. Officers elected for one year terms. Vestry members elected for three year terms on rotating basis (2 of six elected each year). Meets once a month.
PROPERTY COMMITTEE
Coordinator: Junior Warden
Oversees the condition and upkeep of Church properties, including the church building, parking lot and grounds, and the rectory, arranging for needed repairs and planning for long-range upkeep.

The St. Alban's Men's Group promotes fellowship among its members as a piece of the foundation of the parih, and also promotes the continued growth of spirit and community of its members. The Men's Group contributes to parish life by sponsoring its own events and activities consistentwith the parish mission, and by assisting other groups of the parish with their activities and events.
STEWARDSHIP & FINANCE COMMITTEE
Coordinator: Jim Segovis
Members assist with the education and formation of good stewards of time, talent and treasure, and work on the practical aspects of the annual pledge campaign of the Church. They also oversee financial holdings of St. Alban’s.
YOUTH GROUP

To provide a place and time for young people to meet for Christian education, fellowship and fun.
